Information for Sellers
How consigning with Hill's Auction works, from drop-off to getting paid.
Consigning with Hill's Auction
// how a sale worksWe sell everything from single items to entire estates on consignment. We accept good-quality merchandise and antiques, and reserve the right to decline anything that isn't a fit for the sale floor. Our commission is deducted from your total sales, and we're proud to offer rates that stay competitive.
Appointments only
No walk-ins — every consignment starts with a phone call so we can schedule your drop-off day and time.
We help you unload
Bringing something large, heavy, or in volume? We provide assistance getting it off the truck and onto the floor.
Checks & itemized listings
Consignor checks — along with an itemized listing of what sold — can be picked up after 2:00 PM the Monday following your sale. Anything not picked up is mailed out that Wednesday.
Dropping off a consignment
// four stepsAppraisals & estate pick-ups
// large estates & house clean-outsJim Hill handles appraisals directly
For appraisal services or to schedule a pick-up for a large estate or full house clean-out, call Jim directly at 484-576-6368. Moving charges are a flat fee based on your distance from us, the size of your consignment, and the crew size and time needed to complete the move — Jim determines the amount and it's simply deducted from your total consignment proceeds, no separate bill to worry about.
